An Misean

Is Meánscoil lán-Ghaeilge, chaitliceach, saor ó tháillí í Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara atá mar pháirt lárnach de Phobal na Gaeilge. Soláthraíonn ár scoil oideachas den scoth chun cabhrú le daltaí a mbuanna indibhidiúla a aithint is a bhláthú i gcomhpháirt lena dtuismitheoirí. Is scoil í a chuireann fáilte roimh dhaltaí ó chreidimh is ó chúlraí difriúla a dhéanann comhbhá lenár bhfís, lenár spiorad agus lenár bhfealsúnacht.

Campus Gaelach ar láithreán iar Mheánscoil Sundai ar An Bóthar Glas a fhreastlaíonn ar agus a chothaíonn an Pobal Gaelach maguaird.


An Fealsúnacht Ar thuras léinn is feasa

Is é fealsúnacht Ghael-Choláiste Chill Dara ná chun na daltaí a n-oileadh trí a n-achmhainní a nochtadh agus a bhláth, gan ach eolas amháin a thabhairt, chun daltaí ionraice cultúrtha a chothú sa chaoi go n-éireoidh go héifeachtach leo sa saol ilghnéitheach seo.  Táimid go léir éagsúil, le riachtainaisí difriúla.  Chun an fealsúnacht a chothú agus a chur i gcrích déanfaidh Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara ceangail agus nascanna le réimse eagraíochtaí oideachais, teangan, cultúrtha, diaganta agus tacaíochta.

Spiorad Gaelach, spiorad Críostaíochta, úsáid na teangan agus an chultúir, cúram agus aire, cothú agus tacaíocht, meas ar féinig agus ar uile, rannpháirteachas agus glacadh páirt is ea spiorad Ghael-Choláiste Chill Dara.

Aidhmeanna

  • Chun cumas nadúrtha na ndaltaí a fhuascailt, go mbeadh féinaithne acu sa chaoi is gur daoine sochomhairleach iad atá ábalta staideanna éagsúla a láimhseáil.

  • Chun oideachas den chéad scoth a chur ar fáil dár ndaltaí.

  • Chun timpeallacht agus cultúr fáilteach, cúramach, comhréite, ómosach, aireach a chur ar fáil i nGael-Choláiste Chill Dara.

  • Chun lámh a bheith ag na páirtí éagsúla in oideachais i nGael-Choláiste.

  • Chun féinmheas, meas ar na pobail is ar na daoine uile sa tír, meas ar ár dteanga agus ar ár gcultúr, meas ar an timpeallacht, agus meas ar ár dtír féin a chothú agus a chur chun cinn.




Mission

Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara is an all-Irish, non-fee paying catholic secondary school, which is an integral part of the Irish language community. Our school provides an excellent education to help students to identify and develop their individual strengths in partnership with their parents. It is a school that welcomes students from different faiths and backgrounds that relate to our vision, our spirit and our philosophy.

It is the philosophy of Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara to educate our children in their local community through Irish by unfolding the talents of the student and by enabling the student to blossom and not simply give them information, to equip students to function in a self confident way in this pluralist world by being steeped in their own language and culture.
We recognise that each student is different, with different needs and requirements. To promote and fulfil our philosophy Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara will create links and ties with various educational, linguistic, cultural, religious and support agencies and organisations.

Spirit

Gaelach spirit, Christian spirit, use of language and culture, care and attention, nourish and support, respect for self and all, participation and taking part is the spirit of Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara.


Aims

  • To unfold the latent abilities and talents of the individual student, to have students who know themselves so that they are flexible people who are able to handle a variety of different situations.

  • To provide top quality education to our students.

  • To provide and promote a stable, welcoming, harmonious, respectful, caring environment and culture in Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara.

  • To involve the various partners in education in Gael-Choláiste Chill Dara.

  • To foster and promote a respect for self, for others, for our language and culture, for our environment, for our communities and peoples, and for our country.
